Located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Gunner's Custom Welding is owned and operated by John Gunville, AKA Gunner.

A Welder all his life, Gunner always had a welding shop at home where he supplemented his income making a variety of items and working for loggers, farmers, truck drivers, friends, family, and neighbors doing repair jobs and building custom made parts.

He always wanted to quit his job as a welder for the local paper mill, but with raising a family a full-time job with a paycheck and insurance at the end of the week, quitting was out of the question. However in 2008 after 32 years of service, the paper mill announced they were closing their doors, leaving over 300 people out of jobs in a small community. This was catastrophic.

But for Gunner it was a dream come true. Finally the opportunity to open his own shop! It has long been said, "If he can see it, he can make it". Don't be afraid to ask for something unusual. Chances are he's already done it!
